Many lifestylers have moved into this area over the last 10-15 years. As its about 15-20 minutes at max to most parts of Nelson its been popular with new residents who still desire a bit of "country life" but in many cases work in Richmond, Stoke or Nelson.
And the fact that the whole area from Mapua up past Cable Bay is seaside hasn't been lost on locals either.
